If a hotel were alive, what would it feel and think? This is a story about and told by a hotel, The Grand Hotel of Sofar, who resides in a small mountainous village in Lebanon. It is within this village that the hotel learns what it means to be alive through its friendship with a curious young boy. Soon, peaceful times will be disrupted as war spreads throughout the land, and the two will be tested as time threatens to tear them apart and destroy their friendship. It is within these darkest hours that the hotel must remember to be resilient, optimistic, and see the hope that’s waiting for both of them in the future.
